B-25J "Super Rabbit" sold to Wirraway Aviation Museumfamous B-25 soon to join formation at Wirraway!
In a major coup for Wirraway Aviation Museum, Steve Searle has secured the purchase of the famous B-25J Mitchell Bomber "Super Rabbit".
This icon of warbird aviation in the United States will soon be travelling to her new home at Wirraway Aviation Museum, where once again she can take to the skies with the other flying warbirds of Bomber Command.
"Super Rabbit" will soon be travelling to Australia as ocean cargo, before being immediately restored to flight-worthy condition, having for some time now served as very popular and often photographed stationary exhibit at Evergreen Aviation Museum.
Previously, "Super Rabbit" had been a star for some years at warbird airshows across the United States, attracting a strong group of dedicated enthusiasts.
The promise that "Super Rabbit" was destined once more to take to the air where she belongs weighed heavily in the decision to sell the famous aircraft.
Returning her to the skies will hopefully go some way towards relieving the sadness many of her fans felt when they first heard "Super Rabbit" was destined to leave the US for a new home at Wirraway Aviation Museum.
